Once you graduate, you are gone. We manage to keep in touch with a few of you for a few years, but it is amazing how quickly the contact vanishes. Many of you find rewarding and successful careers within a few years and--believe it or not--you are our role models. It can mean so much to an undergraduate economics major to understand how successful you can be with "just" a bachelor's degree in economics. We should all be very proud of our economics heritage and thrilled with the opportunity to share experiences.
The SEA helps build friendships while you are here and we ought to be able to maintain contacts through effective (not my favorite term, but) networking.
