Student Economics Association (SEA)

The Student Economics Association (SEA) is open to all students with an active interest in economic issues and problems or with career interests in economics and related fields. The organization's main objectives are to promote extracurricular activities that enhance the ASU experience. The main activities include:

Career-Oriented Speaker Program

Practitioners who apply economic thought and method in important public and private sector positions will visit campus to discuss job descriptions and career opportunities for undergraduate economics majors. Speaker meetings will be scheduled about once a month at professors' homes.

Social Gatherings

Class discussions are more interesting and more productive when students are comfortable with one another. Apart from the academic side, SEA members will have the opportunity to make new friends, develop productive study groups, and have fun. Premier events include an alumni mixer and a Diamondbacks game.

"Active Economics"

Our highly successful program of presenting economics to high school students kicks off its third year with a backlog of invitations to speak at local schools. Get familiar with the presentations and volunteer to be a speaker. Contact Joe Luchenta or click on Active Economics for more information.
